胡: Muakai祖靈柱其實是因為她在//台大的藏品是從日本時代//1930年就進來了// 所以她一直都放在台大// 後來文資法的一些變化裡面//我們也在考慮//要讓大家意識到// 台大的博物館裡面// 有一些很特別的藏品// 所以當時就在想// 那台大也應該要來申請。
莊: 外面很多的聲音說// 古物要回家// 要把她拿回來到部落// 也不是那麼簡單// 我們實在是沒有力氣去// 花費那麼多的時間在這個// 爭奪戰裡面。乾脆拉// 我就認為說// 應該// 不要讓台大那麼輕易的就// 擁有muakai// 那樣按照我們的習俗// 叫他們表示誠意// 請他們lemisi (下聘)。Muakai既然是我們的祖先// 也是我們的人// 我們就把她當作// 擬人化的去辦了這場婚禮。

Hu: The Muakai ancestral beam has been preserved at National Taiwan University from the Japanese colonial time // since 1930 until nowadays. // Later, owing to some changes in the Cultural Heritage Preservation Act// we started to think about raising the public awareness of those special collections in the NTU museums. //That’s why I was thinking that// NTU should also make muakai one of the national treasures.
Zhuang: Lots of people are arguing that the antiquities should be returned home //,and we should bring Muakai back to our community // But things are not that simple. // We don't have so much energy// and time on the battle whether to bring Muakai back to our community. Therefore, // I was thinking that // we shouldn’t let National Taiwan University own Muakai so easily. // According to our custom // they should show their sincerity. So, we asked National Taiwan University to have an engagement with Muakai.// Since Muakai is our ancestor, she is our ppl we decided to arrange this wedding for her just like a real human.
